Exotic & Small Animal Pet Sitting St. Petersburg, FL
Decades of real experience with exotic and small animals.

β
-
Erica's first job, at a pet store in VA from age 15 to 22, taught her hands-on care for small animals, birds, reptiles, and more
ββ
-
As a Certified Veterinary Technician, she's assisted with a wide range of exotic species at the veterinary hospital. The veterinarian was previously a zoo vet!
ββ
-
She's personally owned and pet sat many small and exotic animals, giving her the experience to confidently follow species-specific care instructions and recognize changes in health or behavior
βββ
From small mammals to reptiles and birds, we provide attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to each species' specific needs — including guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, hedgehogs, ferrets, rats, mice, gerbils, prairie dogs, chinchillas, reptiles, amphibians, and birds.
Small Animal Pet Sittingβ
β
We care for guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, hedgehogs, ferrets, rats, mice, gerbils, prairie dogs, chinchillas, and other small exotics.
Each visit includes fresh food and water, habitat or cage cleaning as needed, and attentive handling based on your pet's comfort level and personality.

Reptile & Amphibian Pet Sittingβ
β
Erica has personally owned and cared for fat-tailed geckos and frogs, and has pet sat leopard geckos, bearded dragons, crested geckos, aquatic turtles, and tortoises — so your reptile or amphibian is in genuinely experienced hands.
Each visit includes fresh water, feeding (live insects are fine; live rodents or other live vertebrates are not), and light management, including turning heat lamps and UV lighting on and off as needed.
For everyone's safety, we do not handle snakes.
β
We're also happy to provide basic feeding for fish, though we do not perform tank or water maintenance.

Bird Pet Sitting
β
Erica has personally owned parakeets, lovebirds, and cockatiels, and fostered a yellow-headed Amazon parrot — bird care isn't new to her, it's personal.
Each visit includes fresh food and water, cage cleaning, and a general visual health check.
For the safety of your bird and our team, we do not handle or remove birds from their cage or enclosure.

Additional species-specific care — habitat cleaning, light management, feeding requirements, and more — is included as outlined above and tailored to your pet's needs.
β
Our minimum visit frequency is once per day, though some reptiles and amphibians may need less frequent care depending on their specific needs — we'll determine the right schedule during your Meet & Greet.
Visit Length & Pricing
Because small and exotic animal care varies so much by species and setup, visit length is determined after a phone call and Meet & Greet — so pricing always reflects your pet's actual needs, not a one-size-fits-all formula.
β
Most visits fall into one of these two tiers:
-
30-Minute Visit — $40*
-
60-Minute Visit — $70*
β
We'll recommend the right one for your pets during your Meet & Greet.β
